Household waste and recycling centres

If you have household waste that can’t be collected with your rubbish or recycling, you can take it to one of 13 household waste and recycling centres across Cornwall.  There are charges for some types of waste, and we can’t take business waste.

If you have a commercial vehicle designed to carry goods or large trailer, you need a vehicle permit to use the household waste recycling centres.

You can also donate usable furniture and household items to RE:SOURCE in Bodmin, Heartlands Furniture in Pool, GOFA in Penzance, Cornwall and Plymouth Furniture Reuse Project or charity shops.

Where’s my nearest household waste and recycling centre?

Use the links below to view location maps, opening times and the materials you can take to the sites.

For safety reasons, no public pedestrian access is allowed through the entrance or exit gates at any of our household waste recycling centres.

What kinds of waste do you charge for?

There are charges for asbestos, plasterboard, soil, rubble and tyres.
