Bulky waste collection terms and conditions

To use our Bulky Waste collection service you must agree to the terms and conditions set out by Cornwall Council.

  • Items must be placed outside of your property for collection by 7.00am, at or as close as possible to your general waste collection point.
  • Items must be left in a way not to obstruct the highway and, in the case of fridges or freezers, so animals and children cannot climb inside.
  • You do not have to be at home when the contractor collects
  • Waste must be accessible to contractors, as they will not enter your house or associated building to collect the items unless arranged prior to your collection day.
  • The contractor will not dismantle, disconnect or empty any bulky household items prior to being removed.
  • Any items that are still connected, fixed to walls, or containing food etc., will be left and no refund will be given for this.
  • Only the item type and item numbers stated at the time of booking will be collected.
  • If you wish to edit or cancel your collection, please contact the Council by 12.00pm on the last working day before your collection is due, either by visiting a One Stop Shop or by telephoning our Contact Centre on 0300 1234 141.
  • Cancellations received after this time will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Please note that there may be a charge for adding or changing items on your collection booking.
  • By requesting a bulky waste collection you are agreeing to Cornwall Council passing on your contact details to our contractor, SUEZ, in order to make the collection.
