The adopted Cornwall Local Plan provides the overarching strategic policies for the provision of housing. The Housing Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) provides additional guidance on how the policies in the Local Plan will be implemented. The SPD does not set new planning policy. The document provides guidance on the development of new homes including; affordable housing, self-build and specialist housing for the elderly or disabled.

The consultation on the final SPD has now closed. The consultation responses are being considered by the Council prior to adopting the SPD in due course.

If you have any questions about the consultation on the final Housing SPD please contact the Local Plans Team via e-mail localplan@cornwall.gov.uk

The consultation on the draft Housing SPD closed on 30 November 2018. The representations were analysed by the Council and informed the final SPD.
