Cornwall Site Allocations Development Plan Document

The Cornwall Site Allocations Development Plan Document (Allocations DPD) identifies where new housing and employment uses will be delivered for 10 towns/conurbations and two eco-communities in Cornwall.

Housing and employment targets have been set by the Cornwall Local Plan: Strategic Policies document. This was adopted by the council in November 2016.

The Allocations DPD also looks at the wider strategy for the towns including

  • economic growth and
  • the delivery of infrastructure that will support both the existing and future residents

The Allocations DPD has been examined at a number of Hearings (discussions). This was during its Examination in Public in late 2017/early 2018. This resulted in a number of changes being made.  These changes have now been through a six week public consultation which closed on 22 October 2018.

Following the modifications consultation on the Cornwall Site Allocations DPD (10 September to 22 October 2018) the Council sent to the Inspectors a report summarising the nature and feedback received which can be viewed on this page. All representations (reps) received together with an excel spreadsheet summarising all reps with officer responses were also submitted.

Individual Representations

The individual responses have been collated into a number of PDF's which can be viewed using the Comment list.  Please follow the instructions set out at the beginning of the list to locate the comment you wish to view.  Representations that arrived after the closing date have been included for information.  However, as they arrived after the closing date, they have not been forwarded to the Inspectors and officer responses have not been provided. 

The Inspectors have reviewed the representations made in the recent public consultation upon the suggested Main Modifications to the Site Allocations DPD and will now proceed to draft their Report for delivery in the New Year.
