The independent examiner appointed to carry out the examination is Martin Lee. The neighbourhood plan went to examination on 18 March 2019.

Cornwall Council is consulting residents and other interested stakeholders on the plan for the St Stephens by Launceston area. The consultation ran between Wednesday 30 January 2019 and Wednesday 13 March 2019.  During the consultation you could comment by emailing us at neighbourhoodplanning@cornwall.gov.uk , by typing the Neighbourhood Planning application number PA19/00004/NDP into the online planning register, or sending us your response in writing to the address below.

The plan proposal included a copy of a map and statement which identifies the area to which the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan relates; a Consultation Statement; the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan, a statement explaining how the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan meets the requirements of paragraph 8 of Schedule 4B to the 1990 Act (Basic Conditions Statement) and an evidence base (available online).

Copies of the documents were available to view online through Cornwall Council’s website, and hard copies were available to view at Langore Village Hall, Launceston Library, and Homeleigh Garden Centre.

St Stephens by Launceston Rural Parish Council submitted an application and map to designation their Neighbourhood Area. This was submitted on 20 August 2015. Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the designation. The consultation ran between 3 December 2015 and 21 January 2016. Copies of the application letter and statement were made available to view during the six week consultation period. The statement explains how the Parish Council and Neighbourhood Area met the conditions of Section 61G(2) of the Town And Country Planning Act 1990. Documents were available from Launceston Library and One Stop Shop. Copies of the documents are available to download below:
