St Cleer Parish Council submitted their Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents to Cornwall Council on 1 November 2019.  The documents can be downloaded below:

Cornwall Council is consulting residents and other interested stakeholders on the plan for the St Cleer Parish area. The consultation will run between Thursday 5 December 2019 and 30 January 2020 for eight week’s due to the Christmas period. You can comment by emailing us at, by typing the Neighbourhood Planning application number PA19/00029/NDP into the online planning register, or send us your response in writing to the address below.

The plan proposal includes a copy of a map and statement which identifies the area to which the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan relates; a consultation statement; the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan, an Equality Impact Assessment and a statement explaining how the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan meets the requirements of paragraph 8 of Schedule 4B to the 1990 Act (the Basic Conditions Statement).

Next Steps

Following the 8 week consultation period, the representations will be collated and sent for independent examination. You may also request to be notified of the local planning authority’s decision under Regulation 19 (the outcome of the independent examination of the plan.) If the Examiner believes that the Neighbourhood Plan meets all of its requirements a referendum will take place which will allow residents to decide whether the Neighbourhood Plan should be used by the Council to determine planning applications in the St Cleer area.

St Cleer Parish Council submitted an application and map to designation their Neighbourhood Area on 23rd May 2013. Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the designation between 7th June and 19th July 2012. Copies of the application letter and statement that explains how the Parish Council and Neighbourhood Area met the conditions of Section 61G(2) of the Town And Country Planning Act 1990, were made available to view from Liskeard One Stop Shop during the six week consultation period.
