South Hill Parish Neighbourhood Development plan is now formally made. It can be used from 22nd February 2018, as part of the development plan in development management decisions in the South Hill Neighbourhood Plan Area. The adopted neighbourhood plan and associted documents are available to download below:

The South Hill Neighbourhood Development Plan Referendum was held on 25th January 2018. The plan was successful at referendum and the result was:

  • Number cast in favour of a 'Yes': 167
  • Number cast in favour of a 'No': 15

The South Hill Parish Neighbourhood Development Plan was submitted for examination on 10 August 2017. The independent examiner appointed to carry out the examination is Deborah McCann.

On 2nd November 2017, Cornwall Council received the Examiner's report on the South Hill Neighbourhood Development Plan. The Examiner's report concludes that subject to the modifications in the report, the Plan should proceed to referendum. An initial assessment of the neighbourhood plan, background evidence and representations was completed. Following this, the examiner raised a number of questions. South Hill Parish Council submitted their plan proposal to Cornwall Council for their designated Neighbourhood Development Plan Area. This was in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (amended).

Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the plan proposal for the South Hill area. The consultation ran from 26 May to 7 July 2017.

The plan proposal included:

  • a copy of a map and statement which identifies the area to which the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan relates
  • a consultation statement
  • the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan and
  • a statement explaining how the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan meets the requirements of paragraph 8 of Schedule 4B to the 1990 Act (the Basic Conditions Statement)

Copies of the documents were available to view using the online planning register. (Planning number PA17/00012/NDP). Hard copies were also available to view at Liskeard One Stop Shop.

South Hill Parish Council submitted an application and map to designation their Neighbourhood Area. This was submitted on 3 December 2013. Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the designation. This consultation was from 13th December 2013 to 24th January 2014. Copies of the application letter and a statement were made available to view during the six week consultation period. The statement explains how the Parish Council and Neighbourhood Area met the conditions of Section 61G(2) of the Town And Country Planning Act 1990.
