North Hill Parish Neighbourhood Development plan is now formally made. This can be used from 26th October 2017 as part of the development plan in development management decisions in the North Hill Neighbourhood Plan Area. The adopted neighbourhood plan, report and decision notice is available to download below:

The North Hill Neighbourhood Development Plan Referendum was held on 14 September 2017. The plan was successful at Referendum and the result was:

  • Number cast in favour of a 'Yes': 164
  • Number cast in favour of a 'No': 46

The North Hill Neighbourhood Development Plan went to examination at the beginning of April 2017. The independent examiner appointed to carry out the examination is Barbara Maksymiw. The examiner recommended that the plan meets the Basic Conditions subject to a number of modifications. The Council’s decision was to accept the proposed modifications and approve the Plan. The Neighbourhood Development Plan examination report and amended Neighbourhood Plan is available to download below:

North Hill Parish Council submitted their plan proposal to Cornwall Council for their designated Neighbourhood Development Plan Area. This is in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (amended).

Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the plan proposal for the North Hill area. The consultation ran between Thursday 19 January and 2 March 2017. Copies of the documents were available to view using the online planning register. (Planning number PA17/00002/NDP). Hard copies were available to view during the consultation period at:

  • Liskeard One Stop Shop and
  • Launceston Library and One Stop Shop 

The plan proposal includes:

  • a copy of a map
  • a statement which identifies the area to which the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan relates
  • a consultation statement
  • the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan, and
  • a statement explaining how the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan meets the requirements of paragraph 8 of Schedule 4B to the 1990 Act (the Basic Conditions Statement)

North Hill Parish Council submitted an application and map to designation their Neighbourhood Area. This was submitted on 13 November 2015. Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the designation. The consutation ran between 19 November 2015 and 7 January 2016. Copies of the application letter and statement were made available to view during the six week consultation period. The statement explains how the Parish Council and Neighbourhood Area met the conditions of Section 61G(2) of the Town And Country Planning Act 1990. Documents were available from:

  • Launceston Library and One Stop Shop and
  • Liskeard One Stop Shop
