The independent examiner appointed to carry out the examination is Liz Beth. The examination will begin in July. Further information will be published when available.

Gwennap Parish Council formally submitted their neighbourhood plan and supporting documents to Cornwall Council on 5th March 2019 for their designated Neighbourhood Development Plan Area, in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the plan for the Gwennap Parish area. The Consultation ran between Thursday 4th April 2019 and 16th May 2019 for a six week consultation period. During the consultation, you could comment by e-mail, or by typing the Neighbourhood Planning application number PA19/00010/NDP into the online planning register and by send us your response in writing to the address below.

The plan proposal includes a copy of a map and statement which identifies the area to which the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan relates; a consultation statement; the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan, a statement explaining how the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan meets the requirements of paragraph 8 of Schedule 4B to the 1990 Act (the Basic Conditions Statement), a Local Landscape Character Assessment, a Design guide, a Delivery strategy document, an Equality Impact Assessment and a Housing Needs Analysis Report. Hard copies were available to view in the following locations:

  • Gwennap Parish Rooms, Richard Jory Playing Field, Pulla Cross, Frogpool, TR4 8SA
  • The Cornish Arms, Frogpool, Truro, TR4 8RP

The data is collected by Cornwall Council as the data controller in accordance with the data protection principles contained within the Data Protection Act 1998.  The information you provide will be used for the preparation of the Neighbourhood Plan and associated planning policy guidance documents.  Full comments, including addresses will also be available to view by any interested party upon request.  Regulation 17 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 requires all representations received by Cornwall Council to be submitted to the Examiner.  All personal information collected by Cornwall Council is held safely in a secure environment and will be kept in accordance with our retention policy. Gwennap Parish Council applied to Cornwall Council to designate the parish of Gwennap as a Neighbourhood Area. This is in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012.The Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the designation of this area between Thursday 7 July and 18 August 2016 and the documents are available to download below:

Copies of the applications were available to download from the Online Planning Register during the consultation period. (Planning application number  PA16/00008/NDP). Hard copies were available at Cusgarne Community Primary School and the Cornish Arms.
