Crantock Neighbourhood Development Plan
Crantock Parish Council agreed to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for the Crantock area. This was agreed at a Parish Council Meeting held on 11 June 2014. This page provides you with information on the Crantock Neighbourhood Development Plan.
Neighbourhood Plan Adoption
Crantock Neighbourhood Development Plan was formally adopted on 28th June 2018. This was as part of the development plan in development management decisions. The adopted Neighbourhood Plan, report and decision notice are available to download below:

Neighbourhood Plan Referendum
The Crantock NDP referendum was held on 24 May 2018. The plan was successful at referendum and the result was:
- Number cast in favour of a 'Yes': 280
- Number cast in favour of a 'No': 47

Neighbourhood Plan Examination
The Crantock Parish Neighbourhood Development Plan was submitted for examination on 25th January 2018. The independent examiner appointed to carry out the examination was Liz Beth.
On 28th February 2018, Cornwall Council received the Examiner's report on the Crantock Neighbourhood Development Plan. The Examiner's report concludes that subject to the modifications in the report, the Plan should proceed to referendum. The examination report and amended Neighbourhood Plan is available to view below:

Plan Proposal Statutory Consultation
Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the plan proposal for the Crantock Neighbourhood area. The consultation ran from 23rd November 2017 to 11th January 2018.
The plan proposal included:
- a copy of a map and statement which identifies the area to which the proposed Neighbourhood Development relates
- a consultation statement; the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan
- a statement explaining how the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan meets the requirements of paragraph 8 of Schedule 4B to the 1990 Act (the Basic Conditions Statement) and
- a Design Guide

Plan Proposal Submitted
Crantock Parish Council submitted their plan proposal to Cornwall Council for their designated Neighbourhood Development Plan Area. This is in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (amended) on 18 October 2017.
Neighbourhood Area Designation
Crantock Parish Council submitted an application and map to designation their Neighbourhood Area. This was submitted on 2 July 2014. Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the designation. The consultation ran between 9 July and Wednesday 20 August 2014. Copies of the application letter and statement were made available to view during the six week consultation. The statement explains how the Parish Council and Neighbourhood Area met the conditions of Section 61G(2) of the Town And Country Planning Act 1990. Documents were available from Newquay One Stop Shop. Copies of the documents are available to download below:
