Pocket Parks successful applications

The benefits of green spaces - no matter their size - are well-known. Even some of our smallest 'pocket parks' can help people overcome social isolation, break down barriers and give a sense of belonging in the places we call home.

The scheme provides grants to community-led bodies working in partnership with their local authority with the aim of creating new pocket parks or bringing existing green spaces up to a safe, usable standard and ensuring long-term support for those initiatives.

Applications have been processed for this year, and  £87k + has been awarded to seven community led projects in Cornwall.

Projects include renovating children’s play areas, planting, habitat improvements and community food growing space.
