Launch of Cornwall's Pollinator Action Plan

On 1 May 2019, Cllr. Sue James launched Cornwall’s Pollinator Action Plan at New County Hall.  The plan has been produced in response to the alarming global loss of insects, and is a key document in helping to deliver the Environmental Growth Strategy.

Given that one out of every three mouthfuls of our food relies on insect pollination, it is vital that we reverse the decline by providing more food and places of refuge for our bees, butterflies and other pollinators. The Pollinator Action Plan focuses on actions that can be taken by Cornwall Council across our assets, functions and responsibilities - you can view the Plan on the Council website.
