It has been designed by a Knowledge Transfer Partnership between Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and the University of the West of England to support those involved in the creation of places to deliver high quality green infrastructure features through the planning and development process.

Cornwall Council and Cornwall Wildlife Trust are working together to pilot the benchmark on new developments in Cornwall.

This green infrastructure includes parks, play areas, nature reserves and street trees, as well as rivers, ponds and other water features. It is not just about providing space for wildlife and recreation.
