Children’s Hearing Service Working Group (CHSWG)

Every local area has a CHSWG to ensure that all services designed to support deaf children and their families work together.  Each group includes representatives from health, social services, education, the local voluntary sector, and crucially parents of deaf children.

What is a CHSWG?

Children’s Hearing Services Working Groups (CHSWGs) ensure that the services for deaf children and their families in your area work together to provide the best support possible. They are based in health authority areas in England.

In Cornwall, there are two parent CHSWG meetings a year. The meetings alternate between the east and west of the County.

The next meeting is due on 4 March 2020 (10.00 am-12.00 noon) at the Educational Audiology Centre,Priory Road, St Austell, PL25 5AB.
