The NHS Newborn Hearing Screening Programme (NHSP) ensures all parents are offered hearing screening for their child within the first few weeks of life.  It is a core service within the NHS in England and part of the family of Antenatal and Newborn Screening Programmes.

The NHS Newborn Hearing Screening Programme Centre has published the national findings and recommendations for its first round of QA Visits and a supplementary report.  

Early Support is about improving services for families with young disabled children.  It is a way of working that keeps families at the heart of discussions and decision-making about your child.

Specialist Social Workers for Deaf People and specialist equipment can be requested via the Multi Agency Referral Unit (MARU) on 0300 123 1116.
