Weekly monitoring of children with EHC plans

From Thursday 16 April, a simple weekly return has been required in relation to each child/young person with an Education Health and Care plan. Being mindful of the current burden on education providers, and the Council’s own capacity to process a large number of returns each week, the reporting tool is in a simple document in Excel format. This will enable straightforward completion and effective analysis. Unfortunately, this information is not available from other sources so the return needs to be completed.

Returns are required by noon on the following Wednesday.

Since the response to the Covid-19 pandemic was initiated the way colleagues in educational settings have engaged with Council staff to provide accurate, timely data about attendance and contact with families has been nothing short of fantastic. This has supported our joint efforts to work with, and on behalf of, children and young people across our county – thank you.  Now that the summer break approaches data returns will  not be required after the end of this week. The last day that data requests requiring a response will be sent is Friday 17 July. Data returns after that date are very valuable and will be processed, in particular the return for children and young people with EHC plans that will be issued this Wednesday for return by Tuesday 21 July. Thank you again.
