Transitions - Guidance for professionals
Following the ten week period of following government advice to stay home, protect the NHS and save lives, schools have recently been issued with a set of procedures to follow so that some children can go back. The government guidance to opening schools can be found here. At the moment, the priority is pupils who are transitioning - Reception Class, Year 1 and Year 6. Schools have been asked to offer face to face support to Years 10 and 12, to prepare them for exams. The Educational Psychology team has created three guides for schools and settings to use to help preprare their children for transitions.
