This is the second year where we have produced an official Education Report tracked against the Education Strategy for Cornwall to celebrate the successes and achievements of our children, young people, and educational settings over the last 12 months. The report also outlines what we will be doing over the next 12 months to improve and to help children in Cornwall achieve the best possible outcomes at every stage.

In 2016/17, 73,508 students attended 267 state funded primary, secondary and special schools. Out of those 267 schools, 163 were academies. Collectively, we have 23 Multi-Academy Trusts (MAT), with 20 schools as part of the largest MAT and just two in the smallest. 64% of all students attend academies.
