Bodmin St Petroc Division – Unitary Election 4 May 2017 - Poll Countermanded

Following the sad and untimely death of Councillor Steve Rogerson, the Liberal Democrat candidate for Bodmin St Petroc division on the 16th of April, the election for the Bodmin St Petroc Unitary Division will be countermanded and this election has to be re-run within 35 days of 4 May. 

The election for the Bodmin St Petroc Town Council will still take place on 4 May.

Uncontested town and parish areas

Some Town/Parish Council areas are uncontested because there are more council seats than nominated candidates. This means that they will not proceed to a vote in May.

Kate Kennally will be the Returning Officer for these elections and Cornwall Council Electoral Services will conduct the elections on her behalf.

All seats on Cornwall Council are due for election in May 2017.

There are 122 Electoral Divisions, each electing one Cornwall councillor, except for the Bude division which elects two Cornwall councillors.

Poll cards for the elections on 4 May 2017 will be sent out to eligible registered voters from 27 March.

Please note: If you change your registration details during the election period, this may affect your entitlement to vote at the election and the poll card may no longer be valid.
