Once the register is published

The new annual electoral register will be published on 1st December.

An election or referendum can be called at approximately a month’s notice, so it is important that your details on the register are accurate. You should inform us every time you move home.

Having your name on the Register of Electors will also help you to obtain credit or open a bank or building society account. Lenders now routinely check the register as a way of confirming applicants’ details.

If for some reason you have been missed off the register or you have moved house or your name has changed, you can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. If you prefer to complete a paper application form, please contact us to request one.

Updates to the register will be published on the first working day of each month from January to September, according to the legal deadlines for Rolling Registration.
