“Tim has been a Cornwall Councillor for Penzance East since 2013. He brings to cabinet a wealth of experience, previously working in the voluntary sector for the housing charity Shelter and as a government regeneration adviser. For Cornwall, Tim has pioneered the workhub, a co-working concept for micro businesses, and was the founder of the Digital Peninsula Network, the first place in Cornwall to make broadband available to businesses.

"I hope you’ll all join me in welcoming Tim as a new cabinet member, I know he will do an excellent job, with Cornwall and it’s residents at the forefront as he takes on this new role."

Cllr Tim Dwelly said: "I am delighted to have been chosen for this role and will do all I can to pick up the brief quickly to tackle the urgent challenges ahead. 

One of my top priorities will be helping Cornwall's workforce and its businesses to recover from the damage caused by Covid-19."
