Imaan

Imaan is a social support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Muslims, their family, friends and supporters, and those questioning their sexuality or gender identity.

Healthy Gay Cornwall provides a range of services to improve the sexual, physical and mental well-being of men that have sex with men in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.

Schools Out is working towards equality in education, equality does not come through legislation and regulation alone. It also requires a change of culture – the culture of our society and, more particularly, the culture of our schools and colleges. Schools Out seeks to address issues of equality through both the legislative/regulative and cultural routes as they mutually reinforce each other.

The Safra Project is a resource project working on issues relating to lesbian, bisexual and/or transgender women who identify as Muslim religiously and/or culturally (Muslim LBT women). The Safra Project was set up in October 2001 by and for Muslim LBT women. The issues faced by Muslim LBT women, and the (combination of) prejudices based on sexual orientation, gender identity, gender, religion, race, culture and immigration status that they experience, are unique and currently insufficiently addressed. 

Stonewall - The aim from the outset was to create a professional lobbying group that would prevent such attacks on lesbians, gay men and bisexuals from ever occurring again. Stonewall has subsequently put the case for equality on the mainstream political agenda by winning support within all the main political parties and now has offices in England, Scotland and Wales.

Terrence Higgins Trust was one of the first charities to be set up in response to the HIV epidemic and has been at the forefront of the fight against HIV, and improving the nation's sexual health, ever since.

Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays - FFLAG is an organisation of parents of lesbian daughters and gay sons which seeks to promote the well-being of lesbian, gay and bisexual people, their families and friends by:  Support, Education and information.

Working locally, nationally and in Europe on issues of equality for lesbian, gay and bisexual people FFLAG supports families and works constructively to combat prejudice and discrimination and help to create a society that is respectful of human diversity.

The Beaumont Trust is a charitable educational resource for medical, voluntary and lay people who require to increase their knowledge on the subjects of Transsexualism and Transvestism and offers support to those affected by the issues they raise.

The Trust's two objectives are as follows ;-

  • To relieve the stress caused by transsexualism and /or transvestism to those affected, their families and friends, and to assist professional advisers in the field of care of gender dysphoria.
  • To educate the public about these conditions.

LGBTQ Youth Cornwall is the organisation that runs YAY! Cornwall (Young and Yourself)

The youth group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Questioning young people up to the age of 25 who live, work or who are visiting, at school or college in Cornwall
