Disability Cornwall

Disability Cornwall is a user led, disabled peoples’ organisation.  They provide a range of services to empower, assist and facilitate independent living and when necessary, act as a representative voice for disabled people, their families and carers.  They challenge discrimination and inequalities and promote examples of good practice for others to follow.

Cornwall People First is a self advocacy group who support people with learning difficulties by enabling them to meet up together, assist with campaigning and lobbying about things that are important to them.

National Centre for Independent Living is a National support, advice and consultancy organisation that aims to enable disabled people to be equal citizens with choice, control, rights and full economic, social and cultural lives.

RADAR keys are used by some peole with disabilities to access c, 9,000 accessible toilet facilities in the UK.  These keys are available to purchase from the RADAR Key Company.

Disability LIB is an alliance of 7 organisations offering capacity building support and advice to Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs) in England using rights based principles and business skills, at a time of financial crisis and political opportunity.

Self Care in Cornwall provides a single portal of support and information to those with Long Term Conditions and Healthcare Professionals supporting them in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.
