A place where Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly residents and organisations understand the benefits of digital, feel safe and confident online and are supported to develop their skills and thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Summary

This strategy outlines why digital inclusion is an issue for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and how the public and private sector can work together across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We hope to build on the excellent work undertaken by various organisations over recent years, addressing the barriers that some of our residents and organisations face.
The strategy extends to both residents and organisations and seeks to set out key principles and actions for relevant organisations in Cornwall and beyond to adopt in order to help tackle the recognised digital exclusion barriers. There are six areas to focus on around digital literacy & skills, accessibility, affordability, motivation, trust and confidence.

Working with partners from public sector, education and private sector the Digital inclusion strategy has now been agreed by Cornwall and Isles of Scilly leadership board and work is already being carried out to identify ways to deliver .
