Movember - 29 November 2019

Liskeard Community Fire Station are growing moustaches for Movember and they'd love it if you joined our Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service Team for Movember!

Sign up here

Wear your moustache with pride. Grow your Moustache throughout the month of Movember and then come to the station on the 29th November between 3.50pm - 6.30pm and have a picture taken with a firefighters helmet on and enter the Rouges Gallery!

If you can't attend or we're too far away, still send us your photos and we'll add them to our gallery. We also want to recruit Mo – Sistas. Yes ladies! We want you in our team too! Clearly growing a mosutache could be a problem for you, so we are asking you to join our team and walk, run, crawl 60km throughout the month. The 60km represents the 60 men that commit suicide around the world every hour! As part of the event we have some special guests joining us at the station.

  • The Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer will be attending raising awareness of men’s cancers. It's at the heart of everything they do, and they aim to make a marked difference to men’s health across the region.
  • Cornwall Man down is a Cornish based group offering a safe space to meet the current emotional and mental health needs of men who are struggling to cope with the everyday pressures facing them in our modern society.
  • T.A.P.S Purpose is provide support to patients in the Tamar Valley area in the process of being diagnosed, treated or in the post-treatment phase of prostate cancer.
  • First Light is a charity supporting people in Cornwall, Devon and Wiltshire who have been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.  We are independent of statutory agencies, including the Police and every year they help thousands of men, women and children in the South West to lead safer lives, free from violence and abuse.

Please just select the link and sign up to our team and be part of this amazing event. We want as many of you as possible rocking the moustache or running the 60km over the course of the month.
