Car Wash Month

Car wash locations, dates and times
Have your car washed by firefighters in Cornwall at one of our locations and help raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity
Free Winter Safety Events
11 September - 11 October 2016

We are working in partnership with Cornwall Trading Standards and are holding free winter safety events across Cornwall starting from the 11th of September to the 11th October. 

At each event we will be providing:

  • Free electric blanket testing
  • Small home appliance testing for £1 per item
  • Free fire safety and community police advice
  • Nuisance call blocking advice

All owners of items that fail the electric test on the day, at each venue, will receive a 10% off voucher and be entered into a free prize draw to win a £20 HBH Woolacotts gift voucher towards replacing their items.

  • Tuesday 27th September 9am - 12pm - Newquay Community Fire Station, Tregunnel Hill, Newquay, TR7 1QT

  • Tuesday 4th October 9am - 12pm - Hayle Emergency Services Community Station, Commercial Road, Hayle, TR27 4DE
  • Tuesday 4th October 1pm - 4pm - Penzance Community Fire Station, St Clare, Penzance, TR18 3DX
  • Tuesday 11th October 9am - 12pm - Age UK Day Centre, St. Clement Street, Truro, TR1 1EQ
  • Tuesday 11th October 1pm - 4pm - Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change, The Elms, 61 Green Lane, Redruth, TR15 1LS

Prince's Trust Team Ten
Aged 16 - 25? Not in Education, Employment or Training? 
Join our next team in St Austell - Monday 17 October - 10am

The Prince's Trust Team Programme is a 13 week development programme with the aim to increase confidence, motivation and skills .
On this action packed programme you will take part in a community project, an exciting residential on Dartmoor, two weeks work experience in a career of your choice and many more challenges.

You will gain accredited qualifications in Emergency First Aid at Work as well as the Princes Trust Level One Certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills. You will also have the opportunity to earn Maths & English Level One & Two if needed.

Take part in the 2017 half marathon
Saturday 19 February 2017 - 11am

Don’t miss your chance to run through the beautiful grounds of the National Trust’s Lanhydrock House - Bodmin in 2017.

The half marathon will start and finish at Bodmin College on Sunday 19 February 2017 at 10am in 13.1 miles (approx) of multi terrain. T Shirts will be issued to all finishers and there will be prizes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers. Minimum age on day of race is 17 years. The event is open to all.
