Thursday 24 October 

  • The Cornwall Fire 24 hour Takeover - Charity radio show

On Thursday 24 October at Cafe CHAOS in Truro from 3pm. Regular presenters Firefighter Andrew Ayre, Firefighter John Wilkins and Firefighter James (Jimbo) Collins from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service will be taking on their biggest challenge to date staying on air and entertaining listeners and viewers for 24 hours straight, raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity!

Friday 25 October

  • A30 Services Tyre Scanners

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service along with Highways England: South-West will be at A30 Services on Friday 25 October between 10am and 1pm. Highways England will be using their latest electronic tyre scanners which check and identify the quality of each tyre.

Please come along to chat to our firefighters, get a free tyre check and also some tyre-related freebies.

There will be no enforcement, only assistance!

Saturday 26 October

  • On-call firefighter recruitment day - Polruan Community Fire Station

Ever wondered what it would be like to join the Fire and Rescue Service as an On-Call firefighter?

Come along to Polruan Community Fire Station from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday 26 October to explore the career as an on-call firefighter through our “Have a Go” sessions, where we will be available to answer any questions around the recruitment process you may have.

  • Charity car wash - St Austell Community Fire Station

St Austell Community Fire Station are holding a charity car wash in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity. This will be held at St Austell Station at 10 am - 2 pm on Saturday 26 October. Feel free to head down and get that car or van of yours sparkling, by your very own local firefighters for a donation to The Fire Fighters Charity.
