Perranporth is an on-call fire station.

We welcome applications from anyone interested in becoming an on-call firefighter. All shortlisted applicants will be invited to an assessment interview (regardless of whether there is a vacancy at the station or not). Suitable applicants will be invited to the (twice yearly) assessment centres and if successful they will be placed in the Talent Pool to be selected for progression to the Approved to Ride Course as and when an appropriate vacancy at their Fire Station arises

The crew at Perranporth visit schools and play groups to give fire safety talks to children. They also visit houses in the community and offer free home fire safety checks, where free smoke alarms are fitted.
