Annual Charity Rugby - RNLI vs Penzance Fire - 30 May 2015

This charity rugby fixture played between Firefighters and the RNLI Lifeboat crews and Lifeguards, will be taking place this year on the Cornish Pirates ground in Penzance. The last two years have been resounding success with a great turn out of players from around the services and support from the local area, which raised two thousand pounds for the Firefighters Charity and the RNLI.

This year we will be raising funds for the Macmillan Cove project, the RNLI, with their money going towards a new boathouse for the Penlee crew and The Fire Fighters Charity. This will be a really good day watching good local rugby, with a BBQ throughout, a raffle and auction afterwards. We hope this attracts a decent crowd again with the aim to better last year’s attendance and fundraising total.

The date of the rugby is the 30th of May 2015 – KO 1430, please save the date and we hope to see lots of people there ether playing or supporting. There is a Facebook page set up for all upcoming events and info in the lead up to the game – www.facebook.com/pages/Annual-Charity-Rugby-RNLI-vs-Pz-Fire/221954268005607

Penzance Community Fire Station Summer Party - 25 July 2015 - 07.30pm

Penzance Community Fire Station will be holding their annual station charity summer fancy dress party. The genuinely brilliant local band “Slap Dash Trio” have already been booked and there will of course be a DJ too to get the party started. There will be food available to buy on site and reasonably priced drinks, all for only £5.00 a ticket (if bought in advance) from Penzance fire station. The charities that profits will go to this year are The Fire Fighter’s Charity and The Cove Macmillan Cancer Support Centre at Treliske; both excellent reasons to have a fun night if excuses were needed! For contact details and location of the fire station visit the Penzance Community Fire Station.
