Bodmin Community Fire Station is a day staffed stations with emergency response being provided by two watches (Orange Watch and Green Watch) plus an on-call crew.

Personnel at Bodmin community fire station regularly engage in station visits including fire safety awareness talks for many clubs, schools and rehabilitative groups and the firefighters also support the annual Bodmin Half Marathon.

Crews attend local fetes and charity events to promote the fire and rescue service and offer fire safety advice. Home fire safety checks are also offered and the crews regularly partake in home visits to listen to any concerns, give advice and fit and maintain free smoke alarms to properties where required.

Bodmin Community Fire Station have a unique resource called early learning fire safety (elfs), which is available to borrow free of charge by all early years establishments (including: nurseries, pre-schools, child minder's). You can find out more information by visiting our page on elfs and how to borrow the resource from a community fire station in Cornwall.

In addition to the town area, Bodmin fire appliances are also providing a first firefighting response to:

St Breward, Blisland, St Tudy, St Wenn, Millpool, Ruthernbridge, Mount, Nanstallon, Withiel, Bolventor, Helland, Cardinham, Lanivet, Warleggan

The area has many specific properties that we hold risk information for including Pencarrow House, Lanhydrock House and a number of major industrial units.
