Cyber Essentials Plus Accreditation

In order to pass the certification, our Critical Control Centre needed to meet all of the following 5 requirements:

  • Firewalls
  • Secure Configuration
  • User Access Controls
  • Malware Protection
  • Patch Management

Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common online threats. It’s run in conjunction with the National Cyber Security Centre. Although CFRCS Service have not received the full report back from Aristi yet, the award was officially announced after the final assessment which took place on 9th September 2019.

This outcome is a testament between CFRCS Service and Cornwall Council Information Services working closely to address all the vulnerabilities, gaps and putting in place the appropriate controls to achieve the desired outcome in helping combat Cyber Crime.
