This document will set out Cornwall Council’s position regarding development proposals close to the shoreline. It defines the proximity to the coast where
a development needs to take account of potential coastal erosion and coastal change issues. It provides guidance on Coastal Vulnerability Assessments that may be required to accompany planning applications.

Consultation

We will be consulting on the draft Planning for Coastal Change Chief Planning Officers Advice Note between Monday 17th June and Monday 22nd July 2019 5pm. If you would like to submit a representation to Cornwall Council on the draft Planning for Coastal Change Chief Planning Officers Advice Note, please complete the following Representation Form and email it to localplan@cornwall.gov.uk.

Following the consultation, the representations will be analysed, and the document amended, where necessary.
