Planning pre-application enquiry

At the Cabinet meeting on 13 November 2019, funding was agreed for the first phase of work at Liskeard Cattle Market, subject to a successful European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funding application. This includes workspace, a covered market area, parking and public spaces at the town end of the cattle market site.  The Council is working to a tight deadline to design the workspace to enable the ERDF funding application to be progressed.  As part of this, a planning pre-application enquiry was submitted.  This focussed on the workspace and adjoining works.  It notes that there are further phases of design yet to be done for the rest of the site, consistent with the outcomes of the Liskeard Cattle Market Charrette last year, and it is these phases that will be subject to ongoing consultation to shape their detail over coming months. They are not the focus of the current pre-app.

The pre-app, which focuses on the workspace, was part of the consultative process for that specific element.
