Phone and pay parking system

You can use the Phone and Pay system to pay for your parking by using your mobile phone and a credit or debit card instead of buying a ticket at a pay and display machine.  You need to register before you can use Phone and Pay

If you were previously registered to use RingGo you will need to re-register with Phone and Pay.  All car park location numbers will also have changed.

There is no cost involved in you using this service. Previously a transaction charge was payable, but we have now removed these so all you pay for is the parking that you want. If you opt to ask for the confirmation/reminder/receipt texts etc a small charge is payable so please read about those below. 

You can only use Phone and Pay in the car park where you purchased it.  If you want to move to another car park, you’ll need to either buy another ticket for that car park or use a rover ticket or season ticket instead.

The range of functions available on the Phone and Pay smartphone app, SMS and telephone services are flexible and user-friendly, enabling you to make stress-free parking payments.

Users can top up a parking session, where permitted, by selecting the extend my parking function. SMS receipts and reminders are available to inform when a parking session is close to expiring.

The smartphone applications can be downloaded from the Android  and Apple store.

How to register

You can register online or download the App for iPhones or Android smartphones.

Alternatively you can phone 01872 672 727.

Once you've registered, all you'll need is the four digit location number (available on signs in the car park or from the list below), how long you want to park and your payment card’s three digit security code.

Whatever your preferred method, you can pay for parking at selected Phone and Pay car parks via:


Park your vehicle, ring 01872 672727, quote the four digit location code (clearly displayed on the signs in the car park) and select your length of stay - your parking booking is now complete!
Opting for SMS services will give you the added comfort of receiving a text confirming your booking and when your parking is due to expire.

SMS (text messaging)

Text the following information to 07786 207 708:

  1. Location number
  2. Length of stay (in minutes)
  3. Payment card 3-digit security code

For example: if you park at location 8200 for 60 minutes with payment card security code 530, you text: 8200 60 530

Smartphone application

Download the Phone and Pay smartphone app and register your information, including your vehicle and payment card details. Select your location and length of stay to confirm your booking. You only need to register once; all of your information is stored for future use. Search for Phone and Pay Parking on the App Store or Google Play.

Once you’ve booked your parking all information, including your vehicle, location and parking details, is instantly sent to the handsets of local Enforcement Officers meaning no need to buy a ticket or display it on your windscreen.

No problem. If you need more time, you can extend your parking via phone, SMS or smartphone app

There is no transaction charge when paying for parking with Phone and Pay. However optional receipt and reminder texts cost 10p each.

Customers who have paid by phone will not need to display any ticket. Calls are charged at local rates, and will often be included in your monthly minutes.

You can download VAT receipts for your parking session by logging in on Your PIN is usually the last four digits of the payment card you first register with.

You can also choose to have a receipt automatically emailed to you every time you park with us.  Just login and store your email address to the Phone and Pay account.
