JustPark phone and app payments for parking

From Monday 4 December 2017, we will be using a new pay by mobile service provider called JustPark. If you were using the previous Phone and Pay service you'll be able to continue to do so during December, however from Monday 1 January you will need to have registered with JustPark.

What is JustPark

It is a parking app, website and phone service that allows you to pay for parking in the majority of Cornwall Council car parks. It offers convenience and flexibility, enabling you to make stress free parking payments. There is no need to find coins to use in the machines and you can top up your parking (subject to the maximum stay allowed) without having to return to the car park.

You just pay for the parking you want - there are no additional costs to use JustPark (nb your normal network charges will apply). If you are using the JustPark phone service you can opt in to receive reminder texts at a cost of 10p each to confirm that the parking session has started or to remind you when your parking session is about to expire. When using the app, JustPark will send you a free notification to let you know your parking is about to expire.

You will need to register for an account before you can use the service. Registering is very quick and simple, you only need to do it once and your details will be kept. Paying after that could not be simpler.

You can register online or download the Apps for iPhones or Android smartphones.

The JustPark apps allows you to store your full parking history digitally, including VAT receipts, so you can always easily access records of where you’ve parked, when and how much you paid.

With JustPark you are paying for parking in the car park you're in at the time. If you want to move to another car park, you'll either need to buy another ticket for that car park, or use a rover ticket or season ticket instead which can both be purchased quickly using our EasiPermit online system .

JustPark will begin providing the service from Monday 4 December, however,  during December you'll be able to use Phone and Pay or JustPark to pay for parking in our car parks. From January the service provided by Phone and Pay will stop.

You can delete your payment card details from the Phone and Pay app by clicking on 'Account' and then 'Payment Cards'. Tap on the card number and you will be taken to a screen which then gives you the option to delete the card.

It has reduced the cost of providing the service to our customers considerably, with anticipated savings of around £140,000 per year.

The JustPark App also gives users the ability to locate a vacant space (when location services are enabled on the customer's phone), and the option to receive free reminders via the JustPark App whereas previously the only option was to pay for reminders.
