From 2011, all Cornwall Council planning records are available to view online. Find the records by using the Online Planning Register.

Some information from before 2011 is also available online. This includes former District Council records but the amount of information varies by each area.
If you have trouble finding the information, search without the postcode, as some older planning records do not include them.
Planning History Request
If you are looking for planning records from before 2011, you will need to complete a Planning History Request Form.

There is a fee per Planning History Request per site. We aim to provide a response within 10 working days once payment has been received. You can find information on fees and ways to pay on our Planning Fees page. Should payment not be received within 5 working days, we will assume you no longer require the request.
Please note: The planning history search will produce a list of planning application references. There is an additional charge for copies of documents (electronic or hard copy) related to these planning references.

There is a charge for this service. We will contact you with the amount and how to pay. We aim to respond to your request within 10 working days once payment has been received.
Please note: There may be occasions due to the age of documentation that we are unable to provide you with the files you require. We will contact you to let you know if this is the case.
Please complete the relevant sections of this form. We will contact you if further information is required. We will not proceed with your request if payment has not been made within 5 working days. Your request will be closed and no further action will be taken. A new submission will be required.
Fees
A fee is payable for a Planning History Request irrespective of the amount of information revealed by the search.
Planning records
The Council holds information dating back to 1948.
Permitted Development
Some developments are carried out within this category. They do not need planning permission and there will be no planning record. You can find out more about permitted development on our Do I Need Planning Permission page.
Mundic block
If the purpose of your enquiry is to find out whether a property may have been built using mundic block, please be aware that a planning history search will only provide the date of any planning approval.
