Our Information Services bring information on Council services closer to where you live. Including information on:

- benefits
- council tax
- disabled parking badges
- refuse and recycling
We can offer advice on how to get information about applying for Council services online. Most have free internet access to the Council's website and other public service websites.

The changes were part of the Council’s library and information services devolution programme. This helped local councils and communities take over:
- local ownership
- management
- control of services and assets
at a time of unprecedented budget challenges for local government.
Staff in all our libraries and information services have been trained to identify exceptions. Such as extreme vulnerability. They will also signpost to other organisations. Making sure those who need extra help receive it.
