  • Disabled access is via the main entrance and the library is all on one level.
  • Seven computers with fast broadband Internet connections (please see library fees and charges, booking and acceptable use policy). Free Internet access for children.
  • Ordnance Survey site plans - this service is currently not available in Redruth Library and One Stop Shop (Truro Community library is your closest library for Ordnance Survey site plans)
  • Printing in black and white or colour (library fees and charges).
  • Colour photocopier (library fees and charges).
  • Scanner  (printing charges apply, see library fees and charges).
  • Room available holding 20 people with formal seating around flexible tables for 12, extra chairs available. ISDN line available. Refreshments can be provided by arrangement. Bookings taken six months in advance, contact Redruth library. Cost is flexible for local community use. On the first floor, regret no lift available.
  • Selection of daily and Cornish newspapers.
  • Applications for a National Concessions Bus Pass can be made during our opening times.  
  • This is a self-service library. Staff are available to help you with your reading choices or if you wish to make an enquiry.
  • All Cornwall libraries can provide information on living, working or studying in another European Union country.
  • Bounce and Rhyme
  • Every week throughout the year our Bounce and Rhymetime sessions for ages 0-4 years and their parents/carers
    Tuesdays 2:00pm - 2:45pm
    Fridays 11:00am - 11:45am
  • Beginners Computer Lessons
    We run Beginners Computer Courses at selected Libraries.  If you would like to attend just ask in your local library.
  • Chatterbooks
    Reading group for 7-11 years meets 1st Friday of every month 4:00pm - 4:45pm
  • Cornwall Carers Service - Drop-in session
    Every last Thursday of the month.  Cornwall Carers Service here in the library to answer questions and offer information about help and support available to carers.

  • Readers' groups
    Redruth Library Bookworms meet on the third Thursday of the month, 2:00pm - 4:00pm in the library
    Redruth Readers meet on the third Thursday of the month, 10:30am -12noon
    We have various reading groups that can be found throughout Cornwall.

Redruth Library Proper Job offers support to job seekers, FREE computer access and information on library resources for online job related activities, as well as quick IT help for job seekers to apply for jobs online and support those looking for work.
