  • Activity Room at Callington Library (for use by arrangement) - measures 4.5m x 9.2m approx and is wheelchair accessible.  The facilities include seating for up to 30 people and 7 x large folding tables.  Hire charges: during library hours: £5.00 per hour, outside library hours: please discuss with Library.
  • Baby changing facilities

  • Applications for a National Concessions Bus Pass can be made weekdays during normal opening hours. Saturdays and lunchtimes by appointment only
  • Callington Foodbank - we are now a collection point and welcome donations of non perishable food items.
  • Recycling bags and boxes - This library does not hold stocks but we can order on your behalf or you can order direct using the using our request recycling equipment / recycling containment online form. 

  • Councillor Surgery - Councillor Andrew Long holds a monthly drop-in here on the fourth Saturday of every month between 10am-noon.
  • Cornwall Carers Service - drop-in session on third Tuesday of the month.  Cornwall Carers Service here in the library to answer questions and offer information about help and support available to carers
  • Computer classes for beginners
  • Fire safety advice clinic - Mark Smith, a local fireman with Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, holds a monthly drop-in advice clinic at the library on the last Tuesday of every month between 10.30am and 12.30pm. Free fire safety advice for your home and information about the home checks that are available.
  • Knit and Natter - Tuesday, from 2pm. A chance to knit, natter and crochet and learn new skills with others. Suitable for all ages. Free.
  • Proper Job help for job seekers
  • Special events - we have a wide range of events taking place in libraries including author talks, drop-in events and much more. Find out if there are any special events taking place in a library near you.
  • Baby Bounce and Rhymetime for pre-toddlers. Tuesdays from 11am. Our rhymetime activities are designed to encourage parents and carers to share rhymes, stories and songs with children.
  • Storytime session - Fridays 10:30am-11am. Stories, rhymes and songs for under-5’s and their carers. Free
