Cornwall Libraries are running the Mythical Maze, Summer Reading Challenge 2014 for children aged 4-12yrs.  The challenge starts mid July and runs until September 2014.  The Summer Reading Challenge is the UK’s biggest annual promotion of reading for 4-12 year-olds organised by the Reading Agency and run by public libraries. 

  • Marks Ark event in Camborne Library on 20th August at 2pm.  Tickets 50p each available at the Library.  Join us for a close encounter with snakes, spiders, lizards and mini beasts.
  • Marks Ark event (wild life encounters) on Thursday 24 July at 10:00am in Falmouth Library
  • Mad Mask Making (craft session) on Thursday 14 August at 11:00am
  • Pirate Mayhem (craft session) on Thursday 28 August at 2:00 pm
  • Tickets are available at Falmouth Library 50p per child or £1 for 3 children. All children should be accompanied

  • Starts Friday 1st August until September 26th (exc 22nd August)
  • 10.00am till 10.45am  ages 0-2yrs.  In Fowey Library - free just turn up

Marks Ark 

  • Live interactive animal show on Thursday 7th August at 10.00am
  • Tickets £1.00. Buy in advance from In Fowey Library or Par library or turn up on the day 

Children’s Story Time 

  • Thursday 21st August 10.00am in Fowey Library
  • Stories to be read by local MP Stephen Gilbert.  Free just turn up 

Cornwall Carers

  • Friday 22nd August and 26th August 1:00pm-3:00pm
  • Do you care for someone, need advice?  Come along to Fowey Library and talk to Ruth who can answer any questions you have.

WW1 Exhibition In Fowey Library

  • Tuesday 29th July to Friday 9th August
  • Free to come and have a look around.  

We often hold events In Fowey Library such as coffee mornings and seasonal events. Each month there is a notice in the Fowey News with all that is happening in the library. Contact the library at any time and the staff will be happy to give you details.

  • Mural workshop at Liskeard library on Tuesday 29th July 2:00pm-4:00pm, suitable for children aged 4-11yrs.  Tickets are priced at £2 for the first child and £1 for each additional child (when purchased in a single transaction.  Please note that workshop tickets are only available for children participating in the 2014 Summer Reading Challenge. 
  • The travelling exhibition to mark the World War One anniversary will be at Liskeard library  from Saturday 16th August to Saturday 30th August.

  • Have a really wild time with Marks Ark wildlife encounters.  This childrens event will be at Looe Library One Stop Shop on Thursday 31 July at 10:00am.  Tickets £1 from the library.
  • Creative Workshops will be hosting a childrens craft afternoon on Monday 28 July at 2:00pm.Tickets £1 available from Lostwithiel Library
  • Creative workshop Friday 28th July 10:00am -12noon ages 5-18yrs. Help create a giant collage, tickets £1.00.  Buy in advance from Par or Fowey Library or turn up on the day 
  • WW1 exhibition in Par Library on Saturday 6th September to Saturday 20th September.  Free to come and have a look around
  • Wednesday 23 July at 9:30am-11:00am is Iyengar Yoga in St Ives Library , suitable for all levels of experience; for more information please phone Ann Nicol on 01736 796248; entry is £7 (£5 concessions).
  • Wednesday 23 July at 10:45 Bounce and Rhyme will be taking place in St Ives Library. Parents, grandparents and carers are invited to bring their babies and toddlers along and enjoy listening to stories and learning new rhymes.
  • Wednesday 23 July at 1:30-3:00pm there is Tai Chi in St Ives Library . Places are limited so please contact Steve on 07714 766901 to reserve a place. 
  • Marks Ark - A fantastic opportunity for all ages to safely engage with live animals at very close quarters! on Monday 28th July.   Starts: 10:00am in Truro Community Library Garden Ticket Price: £1 per child.  Please buy a ticket in advance at the enquiry desk
  • Marblelous Mazes - create your own maze to take away and help build a giant marble maze in Truro Community Library.  On Tuesday 29th July 10:00am-12noon.  Ticket Price: £1 per child (aged 4+), limited places, please buy a ticket in advance at the enquiry desk
  • Flaminals and Crazy Creatures - Come create your own mythical creatures and crazy fun!  On Tuesday 12th August 10:00am-12noon in Truro Community Library.  Ticket Price: £1 per child (aged 4+), limited places, please buy a ticket in advance at the enquiry desk
  • Little People with Wings - Come and create a little winged folk for the Truro Community library garden.  On Tuesday 19th August 10:00am-12noon, ticket Price: £1 per child (aged 4+), limited places, please buy a ticket in advance at the enquiry desk  

Art Exhibition

  • Wadebridge Library will be hosting an Art Exhibition by Padstow Art Group from 1st July to 31st August
