We launch our new exhibition on Saturday March 3rd at the Cornish Studies Library. The exhibition celebrates Cornwall's beauty with a variety of coloured pictures, including some early images colourised for the first time by Joshua Barrett. The exhibition runs until Saturday April 14th, in Library opening hours (although is closed on Thursday March 22nd). For more information contact the Cornish Studies Library on 01209 216760.

Guided by author and historian, Steph Haxton, this writing workshop will search the spines, mine the lines and seek along the shelves of the Cornish Studies Library for the prompts for your pens. The workshop takes place on Monday April 23rd from 10am-4pm at the Cornish Studies Library in Alma Place, Redruth. The workshop costs £10, including materials but not refreshments. Pre-booking and payment are essential as spaces are very limited, call 01209 216760.

The Devon and Cornwall Record Society is celebrating the archive work of Christine Edwards, who worked at Cornwall Record Office for more than thirty years, with a special event in April. Held at the Record Office in Truro, the event will see Christine, in conversation with Dr Oliver Padel, talk about her years as an archivist, and some of her favourite archive treasures. The event takes place on Saturday April 28th at 2pm, with refreshments to follow. To book, a cheque for £6 (£5 members) needs to be sent to Devon and Cornwall Record Society, The Cottage in The Hayes, Cheriton Fitzpaine, EX17 4JG by April 14th.
