From marriages to civil partnerships to naming ceremonies, do you want to play an important role in one of the most joyous and memorable days in people’s lives?

We have many vacancies available at the moment, and it is constantly being updated. If you have not already done so, we recommend you sign up for our email job alert service, so that you can receive the latest vacancies as they arise. You can register for job alerts through the main jobs and careers page, once you have carried out a job search.

You’ll bring your excellent customer care and organisational skills to become a member of our team, conducting and registering these significant events.

If you are interested in a rewarding career, we currently have a variety of roles available at different venues across Cornwall.

Work patterns are varied and can be flexible to fit around other commitments, but do include some weekends and Bank Holidays.  We have both permanent and temporary opportunities available; temporary roles are May to October.

No experience necessary as full training will be given.

Cornwall Registration Service plays a vital role at key points in people’s lives, and includes the following;

  • Registration of Births, Deaths and Still Births
  • Civil Marriages
  • Civil Partnerships
  • Citizenship Ceremonies
  • Issue of birth, death and marriage certificates from registers dating back to 1837
  • Civil naming ceremonies for babies and children
  • Renewal of marriage vows ceremonies

The Registration Service operates in Clusters:

  • Cluster 1 (East) – covering Bude, Bodmin, Launceston, Liskeard and Saltash area
  • Cluster 2 (Mid) – covering Newquay, St Austell, and Truro area
  • Cluster 3 (West) – covering Camborne, Falmouth, Helston and Penzance area
