How can the Independent Living Service help you?

The service makes a real difference to people’s lives, not only for those using the service to maintain their independence, but also their families and loved ones.

The service is available for anyone of any age who would like to feel safer, more protected and independent in their own home.

The system also provides numerous benefits for:

  • High quality two-way speech on alarm calls
  • Alarm calls interrupt all outgoing calls
  • Automatic redial ensures alarm calls are connected in the shortest possible time

  • Audible reassurance of an alarm call in process
  • Audible warning of telephone line/mains failure
  • Battery back-up keeps your alarm working for up to 8 hours following a mains failure
  • Conforms to British and European standards

£3.80 per week plus vat (you may be exempt from vat*)

This includes:

  • Provision of Lifeline equipment including a pendant
  • FREE installation
  • Two visits per year to test your Lifeline equipment, your smoke alarm and check on your wellbeing
  • Check that your personal details are up to date and amend if needed
  • Complete an annual Home Fire Safety Check (on behalf of Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service)
  • Reliable Lifeline equipment linked to a Cornwall based
  • 24 hour call centre
