Since 2012, Cornwall Housing has managed all Cornwall Council’s social housing properties. Before the unitary Council was formed in 2009, the properties were owned and managed by the old district Councils: Carrick, Caradon and North Cornwall.

Because of this, there are various types of tenancy agreements in place. In order to ensure that all tenancies are consistent we have looked at making all conditions the same. This has also given us the opportunity to review the conditions of tenancy to bring them up to date with legislation changes, health and safety and keeping your home safer and how we charge for communal services.

We have sent out a consultation pack of information to our tenants and we are asking for feedback before we present our proposed changes to Cabinet. The consultation will close midnight on Thursday 30 November 2017.

We will use the feedback from our tenants to help shape the final proposed changes that we present to Cornwall Council Cabinet members.
