Contemporary Cornish Living

Cornwall needs more homes – both to rent and to buy – and the market alone can’t meet this demand.

We are investing in building attractive new homes in landscape settings for those looking for stylish, spacious accommodation.

Built in convenient locations we’ve made our living space more generous than in most modern new build homes.

Our homes will be attractive; offering lower running costs, generous space and storage, and flexible, comfortable modern interiors

They will be available to rent or buy.

We have identified two sites for this project. One is in Tolvaddon, the other is in Bodmin on the former St Lawrence’s Hospital site. The Bodmin site will include approximately 175 homes, and the Tolvaddon site will have approximately 35 homes. Both sites will have properties to rent or to buy.

As part of the planning process, we hosted events near both of the sites in February 2016. Local people were invited to comment on the size and style of homes they would like to be built, including whether they preferred a traditional or modern look and the number of bedrooms, external finishes and the type of communal areas the housing developments should have.

We held two follow up events in April 2016 so people could see how their responses helped shape our development proposals.

Planning permission for both sites was approved in 2017.

These will be properties for local people, with a genuine housing need. Consideration will be given to people who have a local connection to the areas and meet certain criteria. There will be a mix of property sizes, types and tenure to cover the various needs which people have.
