Brook Educational Outreach

Cornwall Council commissions Brook to provide Relationships and Sex Education to years 9, 10 and 11 at all schools in Cornwall free of charge. For any questions email the Brook team.

For young people who may have missed relationship and sex education in school, or who are at risk of poor sexual health or risky sexual behaviours, Brook’s Early Intervention project offers six sessions of one to one support. To make a referral to the service email the early intervention team.

Cornwall Healthy Schools

Cornwall Healthy Schools offer free support to all schools to plan and deliver high quality, effective RSE, including staff training and in-class support, policy development, curriculum planning, work with parents and evaluation. Speakeasy

The Speakeasy Programme trains school staff to run a course for parents and carers enabling them to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence in talking to their children about growing up, body changes, sex and relationships. The training is available to all primary schools with additional support for schools in areas of high need. To find out more email the speakeasy team or call 01209 313419.

CLEAR Healthy Relationship Programme

Cornwall Council commissions CLEAR (Children Link to and Experiencing Abusive Relationships) to provide a free Healthy Relationship Programme to year 9 in schools free of charge within the ‘Safer Towns’ areas. Safer Towns 2012/13 are Penzance, Camborne, Redruth, St Austell, Newquay and Bodmin. The programme includes a separate session for teachers and one for parents.
