Priory Centre (Bodmin)

Priory is a small day centre in Bodmin, close to the town centre.

Priory Centre is open Monday to Friday, from 9 in the morning

To 4 in the afternoon.

But this is flexible to allow longer day and evening trips.

We like to go out into the community as much as possible.

We often go out on trips rather than stay inside the centre.

Sometimes we use the centre's new car, and sometimes we go on the bus or the train.

We like to go bowling and to the cinema.

We like shopping and visiting places like Plymouth.

Sometimes we go swimming or horseriding, sometimes we just go for a walk.

We have started a youth group for people under 25 so they can meet up and socialise with other young people.

People are supported to do work placements.  For example Paul has a placement with the Neighbourhood Watch Team.

The Friends of Priory Day Centre are a group of parents and carers who fundraise to pay for trips.

They paid for a new laptop for the centre so people can look at the internet.
