Assisted waste collections
Who is eligible for assisted collections?
The assisted collection service is provided for households where there is no one living at the property who is physically able to carry the rubbish and recycling to the boundary for collection.
How do I book the assisted collection service?
Due to essential maintenance this form will be unavailable Sunday 24 June 10:30am-16:30pm. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Or contact us using the details on this page and we will check whether you’re eligible for the service
How does the assisted collection service work?
If you’re eligible for the service, we can arrange assisted collections for your rubbish, recycling and garden waste (where applicable).
You’ll need to agree a location for us to collect your rubbish. Our crews won’t come into your home or collect from sheds or garages.
We may contact you later to check you still need the service and are still eligible for it.
How long does the assisted collection service last?
The service is available for three, six or twelve months.
- Three month assisted collection service – for people with a short term illness or disability, for example someone with a broken limb or recovering from an operation.
- Six month assisted collection service – for people with a longer term illness or disability, for example someone undergoing a longer period of medical treatment.
- Twelve month assisted collection service – for people who are permanently physically unable to carry their waste and/or recycling to the collection point.
