The Quethiock Neighbourhood Development Plan is now formally made and can be used from 9 December 2015, as part of the development plan in development management decisions in the Quethiock Neighbourhood Plan Area.

Following the Adoption of the Cornwall Local Plan: Strategic Policies on 22 November 2016, any Neighbourhood Development Plan ‘made’ prior to that date has been checked against the policies of the Cornwall Local Plan for general conformity.The Quethiock  NDP has been assessed to determine whether any of its policies would be in conflict with the policies of the Cornwall Local Plan and a statement has been inserted at the beginning of the Plan document. The referendum for the Quethiock Neighbourhood Development Plan was held on 20 August 2015. Information on the results of the Referedum and other documents are available to download below:

The Independent Examiner for the Quethiock Neighbourhood Development Plan was Rosemary Kidd. On 24 June 2015, Cornwall Council received the Examiner's report on Quethiock Neighbourhood Development Plan. The examiner’s report concludes that subject to the modifications in the report, the Plan should proceed to referendum. The Examiner's report is available to view below:

Quethiock Parish Council submitted its plan proposal to Cornwall Council for the Quethiock Neighbourhood Development Plan Area, in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012. Under Regulation 16 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the plan proposal for this area. The consultation ran from the 13 February and 27 March 2015. Copies of the documents were made available to view from Liskeard One Stop Shop during the six week consultation period.

The Neighbourhood Plan has been developed based on evidence collected and work undertaken by the Quethiock NDP Steering Group. The plan proposal included a copy of a map and statement which identifies the area to which the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan relates and copies of the following documents and additional associated documents are available to download below:

Quethiock Parish Council submitted an application and map to designation their Neighbourhood Area on 11 November 2013. Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the designation between 29 November 2013 and 10 January 2014. Copies of the application letter and statement that explains how the Parish Council and Neighbourhood Area met the conditions of Section 61G(2) of the Town And Country Planning Act 1990, were made available to view from Liskeard One Stop Shop during the six week consultation period.
