The Virtual School for Children in Care is positioned within School Effectiveness Cornwall. It is a statutory requirement under the Children's Act 2004 (Section 52). The Virtual School works closely with:

  • re-engage in education
  • raise attainment and aspiration.

Our priorities are set out in the Education Strategy

  • Promoting the educational attainment and achievement for all Children in Care
  • Education and Early Years advisers provide direct support to our most vulnerable children and young people

The children's social care offices below are open from:

  • 8.45-5.15pm on Mondays-Thursdays
  • 8.45-4.45pm on Fridays
