If you have been issued a penalty charge notice, there are various methods of payment:

Online

The easiest way to pay your penalty charge notice is to pay online. You will need the number from the penalty charge notice and the car registration number to make the payment.

By phone

By phone via our automated telephone system 24hrs a day / 7 days a week by calling 0845 452 4538.

By Post

To PO Box 664, Truro - using the payment slip from your PCN. Allow at least 2 working days for 1st class post and 5 working days for 2nd class. Please do not send cash through the post. The payment is not deemed to be received until it reaches the payment office.

In person

Pay Point logo At any outlet displaying the PayPoint logo or

post office logo at any branch of the Post Office

Please note you may encounter problems paying on line if:

You have gone past the reduced fee date

Check Your PCN to make sure that you are attempting to pay the correct fee within the given dates. If you have gone past the date on which it shows that you can pay the reduced rate, then our system will automatically reject a payment for the lower fee. If that date has expired you have to pay the higher fee and will need to enter that amount

If you have lost your PCN we should be able to trace it using your vehicle registration number. If you have any queries regarding your PCN there is additional detailed information on this site which should help you.  If it does not assist there are several frequently asked questions on our Frequently Asked Question system  which may help, or alternatively call 0300 1234 222. When calling please have your PCN number (on the front of the ticket) available.

Note:  You cannot challenge a ticket once payment has been made. If you think the charge was issued incorrectly you may appeal to the Council in writing –see How Can I Challenge a Penalty Charge Notice? .
