Support for carers

Adult Care, Health and Wellbeing has launched a Cornwall Community Directory, an online directory of services for anyone in Cornwall with a health and social care need. Included in the directory you will find lots of information for carers, such as carers support groups, websites, events, health advice and more. This will give you the opportunity to share your experiences with others and find useful information to help you look after yourself and continue in your caring role.

Dementia carers support worker

There is an experienced Dementia Carers Support Worker who can provide support and information to carers of people with dementia, including one-to-one support and specialist carers groups.

Her name is Val Offredi and she can be contacted on the central Adult Care, Health and Wellbeing number - 0300 1234 131.

You can also get help and advice by ringing Adult Care, Health and Wellbeing on 0300 1234 131.

More information can also be found in our on-line publication Services for people with dementia and on the Dementia services and Information page.
